An amazing day trip from the city. It is absolutely beautiful here. I highly recommend arriving early before the crowd starts to get out of control, so that you can appreciate the scenery without tons of people everywhere. We took the 8:30 a.m. bus from Port Authority and it was still pretty empty by the time we got to the park.

Great scenery and walking. the "art" wasn't really interesting to me. opened at 10am on a Sunday, but cafe was not open and I left feeling like the $18 entrance fee was overpriced, especially if you're bringing a family. My wife and I paid $36 to essentially take a walk through a park and look at some highly debatable "art". The pic is one of the only pieces I enjoyed.

Visited SKAC for the first time this past weekend with my mother and we both agreed that we had an amazing time! We arrived earlier and experienced no difficulties with parking or crowds. The weather was perfect to walk across fields filled with sculptures. However, the highlight of our trip was the view of the fall foliage---absolutely breathtaking. I definitely recommend everyone start their day riding the Tram as it gives you a tour around the site and little narrations in between of sculptures you pass by. Also, they rent out bikes which you could ride along a nice paved route named "Bunny Road", which is known for their tall trees that hover over both sides. Lastly, if you plan to stay for an extended period of time, bring blankets to lie down under the shade as well as a few snacks to munch on!

Absolutely beautiful city escape that is perfect for a day trip. I’d highly recommend a visit especially in Fall when the leaves are changing. It’s full of large scale contemporary sculpture on rolling hills in a place that you could wander most of a day. Many of the sculptures make for great photo ops! I only wish there were more indoor spaces - most of the bathrooms throughout the park were outhouses and the only dining options were outside but it gets a little chilly in cooler weather to sit still. Would make sure you check the weather before visiting and only come on a sunny day!

Great modern sculpture art in the Hudson valley! Didn’t know this Beautiful place until yesterday, be prepare to walk a lot! You will find much more interesting stuff if you looks carefully. And the best season to visit is October and early November.

2-stars simply because the cost is higher than it should be. Drop the price for adults to $10 and it wouldn't feel so much like people are being taken advantage of. The park is nice. The walk is enjoyable. But you can find equally nice parks and walks for free in this area. The art is not worth $18. Go to Vassar and see some real art for free.

Tips: We noticed it got very crowded around noon and by the time we left at around 2, the entire road (not the entrance but the road leading to the entrance) was congested with cars. Hopefully, this explains how busy but worth-the-wait this place is. If you don't like traffic & waiting, avoid noon times and weekends :)
